As always, apologies for any reposts, I don't think there are any, but I tend to forget which images I got here and which are from other places...

Also, a question. I'm trying to reconstruct one of those silky Japanese-style tops (sry i don't have a pic at the moment) but every time i think i'm done, the seams all fray horrible. I'm assuming I'm gonna have to resort to fraycheck, but is there some sewing solution? i don't think zig zag stitch will help because the threads still all pull apart.

After seeing this post I really wanted to make a shirt like that too.

So I bought this cute shirt from Wal-Mart and the red one cheap from Goodwill just for the fabric.

And I made this:

There is a tie in the bottom back in case you cant see it in this pic

I'm really proud of it, I think it's my fave shirt I've ever made.

And since I knew other people liked the other one...

I hope this is a good tutorial. Make sure you tell me how it is, and post pics if you make one!

Comment or message me with any questions!

Actually, pretty funny story about this shirt. So my boyfriend's friend got him this shirt for christmas. But my BF wears a large and he got an x-large. go figure. so he had to return the shirt to try to find a large, but they didn't have them anywhere. so i tried to be the cool girlfriend and went back and bought the xlarge to try to make it a large. But of course the day i was gonna give it to him, he came to school wearing the same shirt because he had bought it online. UGH. At least i get good girlfriend points. so i took the X-large shirt and made it for me :)
